Helping Children Deal With Alopecia
Alopecia can be very tough on an emotional level, how do you support your children who are living and dealing with alopecia? I have personally received several emails from parents who’s kids have alopecia, they told me just how hard it was for them to watch their children suffer emotionally due to their alopecia.
It is very difficult and often I think parents would wish for this hair loss disease upon themselves if it could remove this burden from their children. At the same time it is something the kids need to learn to deal with. I like to share the fact that while alopecia might remove my hair it has not removed my smile.
Support groups are also a wonderful way for kids and children to bond with one another, having a sense that your not alone is a great help and the Internet makes support much easier on a number of levels.
